Myanmar's pro-democracy resistance party said Tuesday it was cynical of the government's plan to grant official pardon to political prisoners, regardless of an announcement to the United Nations that it would do so. 
Nyan Win, a spokesman for the National League for Democracy, told that he was uncertain that many prisoners would be released. He said few prisoners were released in a past official pardon.
