A 25-year-old man has been charge over the horrific stabbing incident which left English Premier league footballer Calum Davenport in a serious state in hospital with leg wounds.
Davenport and his 49-year-old mother were assault in the early hours of Saturday morning at her home in Bedford, 90km north of London.
