A 34-year-old man is dead after the car he was driving crash with a truck in northern Manawatu on Thursday.
The crash happened about 4.30pm on Rangatira Rd, near Hunterville, police communications Inspector Marty Parker says.
The man was alone in the car, which appear to have crossed the centre line into the path of the 4.5 tonne truck.
The truck had two people and eight cattle on board, he says.
No-one was injured.
