One person is dead after a single motor vehicle crash in western Bay of Plenty overnight.
Emergency services were called to the sight on State Highway 30 at Lake Okataina, 33km north-east of Rotorua, about 1.30am.
One person was killed in the collide and a passenger was seriously wounded, police said.
