A student has been charged in Melbourne with allegedly selling heroin at a Wantirna secondary school after a tip-off.
Robert Tran, 18, was arrested at his school and police used a warrant to search his Wantirna South home.
Police have confirmed the school contacted them with fears about a possible drug trafficker.
At an out-of-sessions hearing, Mr Tran was charged with trafficking heroin to minors, trafficking heroin, and possessing heroin, ecstacy, equipment to traffick drugs and fireworks.
He has been remanded to appear at the Ringwood Magistrates' Court today.
The arrest comes after the recent release of police data revealing hundreds of cases of students possessing, trafficking and using drugs in Victorian schools during the last five years.
