UK hostage Peter Moore Inhale freedom air in Iraq

British hostage Mr. Peter Moore has been released alive from captivity in Iraq, the Foreign Office has said.

Mr. Peter Moore, an IT consultant from Lincoln, was detained at the Iraqi Ministry of Finance in Baghdad in May 2007. Three fellow guards detained at the same time were later shot dead and their bodies flown back to UK.

Alan McMenemy, a security guard from Glasgow, is understood to remain a prisoner in Iraq. Peter Moore had been working for US management consultancy Bearingpoint in Iraq. The other men were security contractors employed to lookout him.

The bodies of Jason Swindlehurst, from Skelmersdale, Lancashire, also Jason Creswell, of Glasgow, were returned to the UK in June 2009, after that Alec MacLachlan, of Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, in September 2009.
