Ingushetia act against militants 'kills 20'

Minimum of 20 insurgents have been killed in an operation by Russian security forces in the restive nation of Ingushetia, officials say.

Combating erupted after troops enclosed a group of militants in a mountain forest near Chechnya's border. Russia's internal & defence ministries and the Federal Security Service launched the sweep on Thursday.

Combating by Muslim militants against Russian rule has stepped up in the past 2 years in Ingushetia & Dagestan.
