POLICE had been listening to rumors for months about an eastern outer edge cocaine dealer known as ''the Man''. At once, an informant even provided a name - Richard William Buttrose, or ''Dicky'' to his mates. When Rose Bay detectives begin the investigation in August 2008 to trap Buttrose, they trusted him responsible for low-level street contracting. But what they find out was described by a District Court judge yesterday as a "large-scale sell cocaine operation" with the "potential to corrupt & destroy members of the community."
Judge Robert Sorby judgmental Buttrose, 37, to a minimum of 12 years & 6 month’s jail after police find out 6 kilograms of cocaine & about $1.3 million hided into his eastern suburbs homes.
