Two Congolese soldiers have been cached for murder a radio journalist in volatile eastern Congo said police spokesperson.
Beni police Chief said that police cached the 2 after national radio journalist Patient Chebeya Bakome was murdered Monday night. The soldiers shot Bakome in front of his wife & took his phone & money, said Bakome’s brother.
Eastern Congo has been wrecked by violence since Rwanda's 1994 genocide spilled war across the border. Human rights groups have charged soldiers stationed there of violence.
