An employee in the front office at Ethridge Elementary School, in Garland, gets an envelope including white powder. School district spokesman said that the powder was examined at the scene & it was not dangerous.

Students were taken to nearby high school as a safety measure. Parents were notified via the telephone alert system that they could pick up their children.
