Sarah Shourd, one of three American trekkers held in Iran for additional than a year, has been at large from prison in Tehran and has left Iran, Reuters reports, citing a “diplomatic source.” CNN adds that she is supposedly on her way to Oman.

Ms. Shourd and two companions, Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal, were arrested near Iran’s boundary with Iraq in July 2009. Their families say they were on a ton hike in northern Iraq at the time of their take into custody. Iran has blamed the three of spying; a charge they deny, and said that it means to put them on trial.

Alex Fattal, whose brother Josh is still being held, said in a report reported by Ian Black of The Guardian: “She is out. Confirmed.”
