Establishment in Italy has called off the look for for two Americans who went absent during a hot-air balloon race.
The look for ended Monday morning and will not resume, said Massimo Maccheroni of the Italian coastal guard. No balloon debris was found during more than four days of penetrating, he said.
A balloon transport Richard Abruzzo of New Mexico and Carol Rymer-Davis of Colorado over the Adriatic Sea near Italy made a rapid fall during rough weather, situation that would make their survival "unlikely," race organizer have said.
"This is very negative information," said a statement from the race association, Coupe Aéronautique Gordon Bennett.
