Japan’s Fukushima: Cold shutdown

Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda over and done with the notice at a nuclear task-force meeting. Other than the management says it will get decades to take to pieces it totally. Engineers have brought the crippled Fukushima nuclear fix to a cold shutdown condition nine months after the earthquake and tsunami, Japan has inveterate.

Workers at the plant, which is operated by Tokyo Electric Power Company Tepco, have been using sea water to cool the reactors. Waste flow has built up and some impure fluid has been unconfined into the sea. Conforming a cold shutdown condition is seen as a key milestone in efforts to bring the plant under control.
