The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have united stars on the red fitted carpet at the UK debut of Steven Spielberg's new film War Horse. The film's cast includes Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch, Emily Watson, Tom Hiddleston and newcomer Jeremy Irvine. The opinion of Actor Jeremy Irvine is that I am a little bit overwhelmed. It feels like a long way from home.
According to Spielberg it was a very prominent honor to have a royal premiere. It was held on the eve of the duchess's 30th birthday. The play transferred to Broadway in New York, wherever it won five prestigious Tony Awards last June, and is booked to run in London's West End for at least another time. It follows a melodramatic invention, which opened at the nationwide Theatre to rave reviews in 2007.
