Cancer Society necessitate gloves while driving

Current news updates, World current newsMotorists are being urged to wear gloves to defend themselves against getting skin cancer.

The Cancer Society said it was just a myth that closed car windows protected against the sun's harmful ultraviolet radiation which may possibly cause malignant melanoma and other skin cancers, The New Zealand Herald reported.

The society said plain, clear vehicle glass blocked only 37 percent of Ultraviolet-A (UV-A) radiation.

The major risk came from long or frequent trips exposed to sun through side windows.
