BELLVILLE, Texas -- Authorities say 5 people have been found dead in a home in southeast Texas.
The Austin County Sheriff's Office had said in a statement that deputies found the dead bodies of 4 adults and 1 child on Sunday afternoon at a home in Bellville. Sgt. Paul Faircloth said 1 person was being questioned. Authorities said Monday that individual is still in custody.
Authorities would not release any other information about the slayings, including the names of the victims, their relationship and how they were killed.
The Texas Rangers are helping with the investigation.
Bellville is a bedroom community with a populace of about 4,000 and about 55 miles northwest of Houston.
