
Vancouver 2010 Olympics: Lindsey Vonn, a skier from United States made her mark in the 21st Winter Olympics in Vancouver by clinching the gold medal in Women’s downhill skiing event.

Maria Riesch, Vonn’s counterpart from Germany, triumphed in winning the gold in the Women’s super combined event.In the same event one more American skier Julia Mancuso succeeded in gaining the silver medal and the Sweden skier Anja Pearson bagged the bronze medal.
