The study finds Kidney disease genes

http://news-updations.blogspot.com/An international team has recognized 20 genes that could help explain the causes of kidney disease.

The study could offer insights into what goes wrong in patients with kidney failure. They said that identifying the genes that control kidney function was a main step in developing new treatments for chronic kidney disease.

The team studied the genes of nearly 70,000 people across Europe & known 13 new genes that influence renal function & 7 other genes that affect the production & secretion of creatinine - a chemical waste molecule that is created from muscle metabolism & filtered through the kidneys.

The findings could let for the creation of new drugs to restore kidney function in people with chronic kidney disease or kidney failure.
