Disease Threatens Pakistan Flood Victims

Official overseeing release efforts in Pakistan say an outbreak of disease is presenting a new danger to flood wounded as they brace for more rain.
Health official Friday said the lack of clean drinking water and cleanliness is dispersal diarrhea and other diseases that could threaten lives.

A predictable 1,600 people have died from over two weeks of evidence flooding in the country brought on by heavy torrential rain rains. More storms are probable in the coming days crosswise much of the country.

The United Nations has pleaded for $460 million to provide instantaneous help, including food, refuge and clean water.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is due to journey to Pakistan Saturday to discuss relief efforts.
