Obama visits his hometown to restart money chase

Ill. high court: Emanuel can run for Chicago mayor

Hu meets congressional leaders

Chinese President Hu Jintao heard anxiety about China's human being rights and financial policies as he wrapped up his visit to Washington with convention on Capitol Hill.

Hu met unconnectedly with House and Senate leaders previous to a scheduled lunch with businessmen and going away for Chicago.

Storm socks Midwest, cancels flights, closes roads

An influential, gusty storm dumped mounds of snow across the upper Midwest on Sunday, closing major highways in several states, canceling more than 1,600 flights in Chicago and in trouble the roof of the Minnesota Vikings' stadium.

At least four weather-related deaths were statemented as the storm system dropped almost 2 feet of snow in parts of Minnesota and marched east. AP sources: Emanuel leaving White House on Friday

Rahm Emanuel will leave your job as White House chief of staff on Friday and will begin his campaign for Chicago mayor by gathering with voters in the city on Monday, two people recognizable with Emanuel's plans said.

The two people, who spoke Thursday on situation of anonymity as they did not want to pre-empt Emanuel's statement, said he will return to Chicago over the weekend and begin on the road neighborhoods Monday.
"He means to run for mayor," one of the people told the linked Press.

Together people said they did not know when Emanuel would make an official declaration about his mayoral bid other than that he would launch a website with a point to Chicago voters in the near prospect.
